He is a professor of industrial management and former dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain. He lectured at the Master's in Technology Management at the Arabian Gulf University and the Master's in Public Management (MPM) at the Aix Marseille University (AMU)- BIPA. He received his PhD in Business Administration (Industrial Management) from the University of Glasgow (UK) and an MS in Industrial Management from the University of Central Missouri (USA). His teaching and research interests include process and innovation, supply chain management, knowledge management, organizational development, and multi-criteria decision models. He authored the premier reference 'Customer Knowledge Management: People, Processes, and Technology' (IGI. Global, 2009), six international books, and more than 60 research papers. He is a reviewer of several peer-reviewed international journals, an advisor for graduate theses, and an editorial board member of the International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences, the Journal for Global Business Advancement, the Journal for International Business and Entrepreneurship Development, and Educational Administration: Theory and Practice, and the International Journal of Human Capital and Information Technology Professionals.
